session 1

What is the Gospel?

- Robert Grant, Pete Emmet, Esteban Ortiz, Molly Johnson
Treat this workshop as your chance to continue the Gospel conversation from the morning. This panel exists to help you dive deeper into uncovering what His good news is and what it means for you. Come with questions!

Worship and the Gospel

- Gerrit Gustafson, Waylon
Why do we proclaim the gospel? That those who believe can become worshipers.“He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.” Rom. 15:15-16.

Exercising the Gospel

- Roger Hyatt, Jen Gomez
God speaks, and throughout history, He has used prophetic voices to deliver his message to His disciples. Join this conversation with apostolic leader and elder, Roger Hyatt, about learning to exercise prophetic ministry.

session 2

The Gospel Through Discipleship

- James Williams, Pete Emmet, Esteban Ortiz, Christine Emmet
In order to make disciples who make disciples who make disciples, we first must be one. The Lord uses thick, life-giving relationships with people to lead us to Himself. Join this conversation to learn what it means that He disciplines those He loves.

The Gospel Through a Church

- Chris Hyatt, Robert Grant, Josiah Johnson
While we naturally connect churches and the gospel, not every church is Gospel-shaped and fluid in equipping their members to both receive the Gospel and turn and share it with others. This workshop looks at the keys, the challenges and the power of doing so.

The Gospel Through a Small Group

- Gerrit Gustafson, Jamie Johnson
Across history, the Gospel has transformed lives most effectively through small groups. From the Early Church described in Acts 2:42-26 to John Wesley's meetings all the way to today, the Gospel grows great in groups. This workshop will help you strengthen your group or groups.

session 1

Adding Capacity and Competency to Compassion

- Reggie McNeal, Jacob
Wanting to help people is nice. Being able to help people is even better. The Good Samaritan brought capacity and competency to his compassion to the need he encountered. In this workshop we explore five questions we need to ask ourselves to make sure we are positioned for positive missional impact.

The Gospel to & Through Your School

- Josiah Johnson, Molly Johnson, Sergio Gonzalez
What happens when the Gospel comes alive to a group of students on a college campus? Join this panel with Joey, Molly, and Sergio for stories of what’s possible when Jesus walks into your school.

The Tools You Need to Share the Gospel

- Christine Emmet, Anna Currie, Sergio
The Gospel comes to you and quickly starts to work through you. This conversation exists for you to get what you need to know how to share the good news in every space, relationship, and sphere of your life.

The Gospel to & Through Your Neighborhood: A Case Study

- Jamie Johnson and Kathy Johnson
When Jesus said, “Love your neighbor,” it didn’t come with a lot of boundaries. How far do we go to see the Gospel come alive in the people who live right next door to us? Hear the story of what happened in Jamie and Kathy’s neighborhood in Costa Rica and learn how God can use you from your own front door.

session 2

The Gospel to a City: Duluth

- Christine Emmet, Chip Sweney, and Sergio Gonzalez
When a group of people commit to doing whatever it takes for the Gospel to go across a city, innovations, friendships, and miracles occur. That’s the story unfolding in Duluth right now. Join city leaders, Christine, Chip, and Sergio for what’s possible when you truly love your city.

Making Time to Innovate

- Jon Hirst, Ellen
The biggest barrier to innovation in ministry is time. Most experiments don’t cost a lot. We usually find a way to get permission. Most innovation is done by the innovator themselves. So that leaves busyness as the biggest obstacle. Learn some powerful ways to reimagine your time, take back more of it, and invest it in where God is leading you.

Living and Sharing the Gospel at Work

- Jamie Johnson and Jen Gomez
Most people live with a gap between their worklife and their faith, but Jesus is in your business just as much as He’s at your church. Still, many try and struggle to know what it means to live and share the Gospel at work. Join this conversation with Jamie and Jen for what works and what doesn’t when you follow Jesus into the office.

The Power of a Team

- Anna Currie, Monica Henriquez, Moses Aboka, Maria Lao, Molly Johnson
The Gospel moves through people, and people work better together. Learn how team-based ministry creates deeper discipleship, stronger leaders, and greater long-term transformation in neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and cities with this panel of leaders who are at work in teams around the world.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE LOVE YOUR CITY CONFERENCE

Eleven years of growing and seeing the power of the Gospel transform leaders' spheres of influence

The Boy With a Ball Love Your City Conference is an inspiring gathering that sparks passion for serving your community. The sessions are powerful, practical, and filled with real stories that reminded me how small acts of love can transform a city. I left feeling encouraged and equipped to love my city and the people God has placed in front of me.

Pollye Pope
Director of Community Outreach at
Perimeter Church, Duluth, GA

LYCCon is one of the few conferences we've brought our leaders to and watched them leave genuinely equipped — not just inspired. The practical missional content gives our whole team a clearer sense of how to actually love our neighbors, not just talk about it. And the relationships we've built with other missionally-minded leaders continue to sharpen and encourage us.

Chris Hyatt
Pastor at Covenant Life Church, Lawrenceville, GA

There are two big reasons we love to come to Love Your City conferences: 1) our own faith is enlarged to see the international scope of God’s activity, and 2) seeing old friends and meeting new friends in the Boy With a Ball family is very encouraging and strengthening!

Gerrit Gustafson,
Lay-pastor, Franklin, TN
